Individual leaves have been numbered. concerns the disputed election of Fray Alejandro Casquero as the provincial of the Franciscan Province of San José in Yucatán; the distribution of offices between Creoles and native Spaniards in religious orders; and verses by José Antonio de Alfaro y Ochoa, protesting his arrest. deals primarily with jurisdictional questions. Nos. 2 and 12 are substantially identical with the defense in the criminal case against Fray Jacinto Miranda (cf. M-M 26).
